Indonesian schoolers, myself included, use an acronym to memorize the seven colors of the rainbow. It is called ‘Mejikuhibiniu’: Merah – Jingga – Kuning – Hijau – Biru – Nila – Ungu. Little did I know that children in the English-speaking world also use an acronym: Roy G. Biv (Red – Orange – Yellow – Green – Blue – Indigo – Violet).
So here’s my take on this week’s challenge:
Writing this post brings me back to a beautiful musical masterpiece created by Mira Lesmana, based on a best-selling book with the same title, The Rainbow Troops (written by Andrea Hirata). Here are two of the most memorable songs put together in an ensemble during the 26th SEA Games 2011 Closing Ceremony in Palembang, Indonesia. Both numbers tell us the wonders of the rainbow in the youngsters’ eyes. I especially like the second piece. Enjoy. 🙂
The photos and the video… hmmm…. awesome!!!
